The rollout follows the device’s domestic launch in China, where it began at CNY 12,999—a noticeably lower figure compared to European pricing, which is typical for Huawei’s global releases.

The Mate X7 carries two OLED panels, each designed for different use cases.
When unfolded, the device reveals an 8-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution tailored for tablet-style content. It supports an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, a fast 240Hz touch sampling rate, and peak brightness levels reaching 2,500 nits, making it suitable for both productivity and media.
The outer screen measures 6.49 inches and uses a curved LTPO OLED panel with its own set of enhancements, including 3,000-nit peak brightness and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Both displays support smooth refresh transitions ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, along with 1440Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain. Huawei protects the external display with its second-generation Kunlun glass, known for improved durability.
The device carries IP58 and IP59 protection ratings, giving it resistance against dust and water intrusion.
Performance and Software
Powering the Mate X7 is Huawei’s Kirin 9030 Pro, developed on an updated architecture and paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage. The phone runs HarmonyOS 6.0, Huawei’s in-house operating system that functions independently of Android. The global Mate X7 model houses a 5,300mAh battery, supported by 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. In comparison, the Collector’s Edition released in China includes a slightly larger battery, but the global version sticks to the 5,300mAh capacity.
